Stories

Across the state, patients are being harassed, arrested, and prosecuted simply for using their medicine. Here are a few of their stories:

Katy Rourke
Katy is a 64-year-old grandmother who uses medical marijuana on her doctor's recommendation. A drug task force raided and seized her house. Now she faces charges and the house is being sold. The broker is the task force head's brother-in-law.

Bruce and Rainee Osman
Bruce and Rainee had their home raided after cops interrogated their daughter, who had been sitting in the truck that fatally crushed her grandfather in a freak accident. The cops knew that the Osmans were legal patients, but they seized their plants anyway.
