Douglas Hiatt
Douglas Hiatt has been Washington State's pre-eminent medical marijuana defense attorney since 1996, before Washington had a medical marijuana law. He graduated from Puget Sound Law School in 1991 and immediately went to work as a public defender, a field in which he remained for twelve years. As a public defender, he tried hundreds of cases, including those that fall under Washington's three strikes law. In 2001, he went into private practice to work exclusively on medical marijuana cases. His work is funded by grants from the Marijuana Policy Project and private donors like you.
